雕塑以极赋彝族民族文化特色的载体——三弦琴为设计元素，五色彩带营造出团结、欢快、和谐的氛围。整体为不锈钢材料，三弦琴面缀以紫铜锻造浮雕，彩带以镂空不锈钢板锻制来表现出飘逸轻盈的艺术效果。雕塑配有灯光、音响等附属设施工程。雕塑高71.3英尺，以“最大型的三弦雕塑”获得吉尼斯世界纪录认证。

Sanxian, a kind of Chinese lute with three strings, is one of the more culturally representative symbols of Yi nationality. Taking the musical instrument as its design prototype, the sculpture is full of cultural significance. The work is forged with stainless-steel and decorated with red-copper embossment as well as colorful ribbons made of stainless-steel plate. Graceful and elegant, the ribbons are permeated with the sense of solidarity, happiness as well as harmony. The work of art, which has been confirmed as the world’s biggest Sanxian-shaped sculpture by the Guinness Book of World Records, is 71.3 feet high and equipped with ancillary facilities such as lightings and stereo systems.
